Entry Qualifications: Pass GCE (O/L) with Credit Pass to Mathematics and English

 

Course Contents:

 

01.   Identify the main concepts in the web development Environment

02.   Create web pages using HTML and CSS

03.   Design, edit and create images

04.   Add interactivity to web pages using JavaScript

05.   Identify alternative web development technologies

06.   Write server-side scripts to communicate with a web server

07.   Demonstrate the fundamental Web Application Architecture including WebServices

08.   Explain core XML concepts

09.   Explain the Web Services Technology stack and how each component relates to the other

10.   Explain core XML concepts including DTD, Schema, Namespaces and XSL

11.   Develop XML applications by programming the SAX and DOM API’s

12.   Build, compose, document, publish and consume Web Services

13.   Graphics for Web

* Editing Graphics for web and Web Template creation using Photoshop CS

14.   Animation for Web

* Creating Animations for Web using Adobe Flash MX

15. Students are expected to design and develop a web site as project
